Australian Machinery Wholesalers will on the 15th September 2009 receive an Award from the Geelong Business Network for its service to the Communities of Victoria effected by the Victorian Bushfires Earlier this year. During the course of 5 days immediately after the Bushfires Australian Machinery Wholesalers held a 5 day appeal where with the help of thousands of Volunteers we were able to raise over 5 million dollars in donated goods including over $100,000 worth of Donated Confectionary from Cadbury Schweppes along with thousands of donations from hundreds of business and community groups.

          

We will graciously accept the Award but will dedicate it to the contribution made by all of the CFA Fire Fighters and Volunteers and the work and effort of all the donors and community volunteers who collectively contributed to making the week an overwhelming success.

Our thoughts and our prayers continue to go out to the many thousands of families affected by the Bushfires and especially those who lost loved ones and are continuing to rebuild their homes and their lives.

May we continue to work together with the various community and church groups and continue to support those in our communities requiring ongoing support all throughout the year and learn from the outpouring of support and the willingness that we provide as a community to support those in need at all times during the year.
